DTF printers are used to print designs onto DTF heat transfer printing films. These printers are equipped to handle the unique requirements of DTF ink and film to produce high-quality prints for transfer onto various substrates.
The workflow with a DTF printer typically involves designing the artwork, printing it onto the DTF film, transferring the design onto the substrate using a heat press, and finishing the print for durability.
1. Preparation:
- Make sure the DTF printer is connected to the power supply and turn on the power switch.
- Import the image to be printed into the DTF printer's software for editing and adjustment.
- Prepare the special coating film and the fabric to be printed.
2. Adjust the print settings:
- Set the print parameters in the software, including image size, print quality, print speed, etc..
- Make sure the printhead of the printer is clean and calibrate the printhead position.
3. Print image:
- Place the special coated film into the printing area of the DTF printer.
- Select the print image in the software and start printing.
- Wait for printing to complete.
4. Post-processing:
- Remove the printed special coated film and place it in a heat transfer machine or thermal transfer machine.
- The fabric is placed on the film and the heating process transfers the image to the fabric.
- After waiting for the transfer to be completed, the fabric is removed and cooled.
5. Finish:
- Check the printing results to ensure that the image is clear and full of color.
- If required, carry out subsequent processing, e.g. ironing.
