The workflow with a DTF printer generally includes crafting the artwork, printing it onto the DTF film, transferring the design onto the chosen substrate using a heat press, and then finishing the print to ensure long-lasting durability.
1. Preparation:
- Ensure the DTF printer is properly connected to the power supply and activate the power switch to start.
- Import the desired image into the DTF printer's software to allow for any necessary editing and adjustment.
- Get the special coating film and the fabric ready for the printing process.
2. Adjust the print settings:
- Configure the print parameters in the software, such as image size, print quality, and print speed to achieve optimal results.
- Ensure the printhead of the printer is pristine and calibrate the printhead position for precise printing.
3. Print image:
- Carefully place the special coated film into the designated printing area of the DTF printer.
- Select the image to print within the software and initiate the printing process.
- Allow the printing to complete as the machine works its magic.
4. Post-processing:
- Remove the printed special coated film and position it in a heat transfer machine for the next stage.
- Position the fabric on top of the film, and through the heating process, transfer the vivid image onto the fabric.
- After the transfer process is finalized, remove the fabric and let it cool down.
5. Finish:
- Inspect the printing results to confirm that the image is crystal clear and bursts with vibrant color.
- If necessary, perform additional processing steps, such as ironing, to perfect the final product.
