DTF printers are expertly crafted to print designs on DTF heat transfer printing films. These advanced printers are adept at handling the specific requirements of DTF ink and film, ensuring the production of high-quality prints ready to be transferred onto a variety of substrates.
The typical workflow with a DTF printer includes designing the artwork, printing it onto DTF film, transferring the design onto the desired substrate with a heat press, and applying finishing touches to ensure durability and vibrancy.
1. Preparation:
- Ensure the DTF printer is connected to the power supply and switch on the power.
- Import the desired image into the DTF printer's software for any necessary editing and adjustments.
- Prepare the special coating film along with the fabric intended for printing.
2. Adjust the print settings:
- Set print parameters in the software including image size, print quality, print speed, etc.
- Ensure the printer's printhead is clean and properly calibrate its position for optimal printing.
3. Print image:
- Place the specially coated film in the designated printing area of the DTF printer.
- Select the print image in the software and commence the printing process.
- Allow the printing to complete before proceeding to the next step.
4. Post-processing:
- Carefully remove the printed coated film and position it in a heat or thermal transfer machine.
- Position the fabric on the film, allowing the heat process to transfer the image onto the fabric.
- Once the transfer is complete, remove and cool the fabric for final use.
5. Finish:
- Inspect the printing results to confirm the image is crisp and vibrant.
- If necessary, conduct additional processing such as ironing to finalize the print.
